Rick Dameron, founder and president of Sports Media & Events, has an extensive background in motorsports. He launched his professional career in 1991 in the marketing department at North Carolina Speedway. In 1993, he joined Performance PR Plus, a motorsports marketing firm, to service DuPont's new marketing platform in NASCAR. He worked all aspects of the campaign and was instrumental in growing it into one of the most successful sports marketing programs in history. He was also a key member of the crisis management team following the Hendrick Motorsports plane crash. In 2000, he was promoted to vice president, a position he held until establishing SME.

In addition to his professional duties, he also serves as the president of University City Toastmasters, a local chapter of Toastmasters International.

Rick and his wife Malinda live in Huntersville, NC, with their children, Austin and Karsyn.

Craig Bailey has a wealth of motorsports experience. He began his professional career in 1992 working in the marketing department at the Bertil Roos Racing School. The following year, he relocated to North Carolina and began working as a journalist covering the NASCAR circuit for several publications. In 1995, he switched his attention to media relations. Since that time, he has provided media support for many top names in motorsports including Craftsman, Castrol and Swedish Match North America. He joined Sports Media and Events in 2006.
